Grades of Condition (I'd advise contacting us for details on posters rated below Very Good):

Excellent+ (Exc+) or near mint : Unused condition! This poster has little or no signs of handling, although because of the fragility of the paper on most Mexican posters, there may be a few small dings around the edges, and/or some light separation at the fold lines.

Excellent (Exc) : Clean and bright with little visible wear. This poster may have been used once, but there are no major flaws. It may have a few minor pinholes near the corners, slight edge wear, and/or some light separation at the fold lines.

VG+ or VG/Exc : Somewhere between VG and excellent in condition.

Very Good (VG): This is a used poster, but the artwork is generally clean and bright. Upon closer inspection it will show signs of use. The poster will probably have some (but not all) of the following flaws: wear / smallish tears around the edges, light wear/separation at the fold lines, pinholes, small border chips, mild soiling, slight discoloration, extra vertical fold, minor repairs. The poster will display nicely, with no major flaws.

Good+ or Good/VG : Somewhere between good and VG in condition.

Good : Still presentable, and should look good in a frame, but this a well-used poster with noticeable flaws. The poster will probably have some (but not all) of the following flaws: wear/tears around the edges, wear/separation at the fold lines, pinholes, border chips around the edges, extra browning of the paper, soiling, extra fold lines, repairs, tears within the image area, mild fading, small holes, light bleed-thru from writing on the back, moderate discoloration.

Fair : Heavy wear and a number of noticeable flaws. The poster will probably have some (but not all) of the following flaws: heavy wear/tears around the edges, large separations/wear at the folds, heavy pinholes, border chips around the edges, extra browning of the paper, brittleness, soiling, extra fold lines, heavy repairs, tears/holes within the image area, moderate fading, discoloration, paper loss within the image area, bleed-thru from writing on the back. Needs restoration, but it may do until a better example comes along.

Poor : Major problems and countless flaws. Posters in this condition are in need of major restoration.

For all condition grades, we will mention any flaws that are especially noticeable within the description.

Mexican onesheets are quite difficult to find in top condition. Linen-backing is a good method of repairing minor flaws and protecting the posters from further damage and deterioration.

Standard Poster sizes offered on SantoStreet.com:

OS (Mexican Onesheet) : The Mexican one-sheet usually measures approximately 27" x 37". (They are slightly smaller than U.S. onesheets). The paper used is often thin and fragile, making it extremely difficult to find these posters in top condition.

WC (Mexican Window Card) : Mexican window cards usually measures approximately 12.5" x 19.5". They are printed on heavier paper stock, with a blank strip on top for writing theater information.

JLC (Mexican Lobby Card ... or ... Jumbo Lobby Card) : Mexican lobby cards usually measure approximately 12.5" x 16.5" and are printed on heavier paper stock. They feature colorful artwork which tends to cover the majority of the card. These cards have a relatively small inset image, picturing a scene from the film. (These inset scenes were usually black & white in the 1950s and 1960s and color from the 1970s and later.) The cards usually have the same artwork as a film's one-sheet poster (although due to on the horizontal format of lobby cards, the layout of this artwork is sometimes a bit different). JLCs originally came in sets of 8 (or sometimes 16). The color artwork is the same on all cards in a Mexican lobby card set -- only the small inset scene is different.

ALC (Azteca Lobby Card) : Azteca lobby cards measure 11"x 14" and are printed on heavy paper stock. These cards have an actual B&W movie still attached on the card -- picturing a scene from the film. These rare lobby cards were printed in the United States -- to be used in Spanish-language theaters. For most Mexican films, they were the only U.S. posters ever produced. They feature completely different artwork from the Mexican lobby cards. Like other US-produced lobby cards, ALCs originally came in sets of 8. The border art is the same on all cards of the set, only the attached B&W photo is different.

Arg OS (Argentine Onesheet) : The Argentine one-sheet usually measures approximately 29" x 43". (They are slightly larger than U.S. onesheets). The paper used is of a better quality than that used for Mexican posters.

Belg WC (Belgian Window Card) : Belgian window cards usually measures approximately 14" x 21" -- and they can be printed in either a vertical or horizontal format. They are printed on thin paper stock, with a blank strip on top for writing theater information. The strip at the top is often trimmed or damaged.
