Francisco Diaz Moffit was a prolific artist working in the Mexican film industry during the 1950s. Little information is available concerning his history. (If you have any information concerning this artist, we'd appreciate hearing from you.) Diaz in many different film genres, including musicals, westerns and dramas. His posters featured bold colors and striking design. Many posters were signed by the artist, but it is possible that there are unsigned examples, as well. |

Please Note: Mexican onesheet movie posters are usually printed on cheap, fragile paper, which has tended to become brittle with age. Because of this, even posters which have never been used, often have small nicks and tears around the borders and some splitting / separation at the fold lines. In order to protect the posters from additional damage (which in extreme cases, can sometimes occur by simply unfolding the poster), we sometimes use acid-free, archival tape on the back of the posters (usually on the fold lines) to reinforce them. This thin tissue-based tape is especially made for this purpose -- and it will not yellow, dry out, or harm the paper. The tape is invisible on the front. Attractive Mexican musical movie poster combines pretty background graphics with wonderful close-ups of Infante and Lopez. **** Please Note: Apparently, there was a title change on this film after the posters were printed. Rather than print new posters, the studio used a screen process to cover the original title, with the new one. The original title was: Ahora Soy Rico. This over-painting is not too distracting, and it does not affect the lovely main art work. All of the posters I have seen on this film have the new title added.
