Swordsman (1990)

Underrated fantasy / action film, which is unfairly maligned -- when compared to the next two outings in the trilogy. All are great! Someone has stolen a sacred text which will give it's holder incredible martial arts power. A demonic eunuch sends his powerful underlings after the text, and slaughters anyone who gets in his way. With superb action and touching examples of friendship, loyalty and sacrifice!

Swordsman 2 (1992)

Classic sequel to the first Swordsman film, basically has a wholly new cast. Jet Li this time plays the title character, and he must face Asia the Invincible. Asia was a male warrior who castrated himself, and as a result, he became Brigette Lin. There's lots of political intrigue in the martial arts world, but the film's main asset is the incredible visuals, sweeping, and kung fu fantasy action.

He wanders around, searching for the man who had the first affair, and finds him. The zombie -- now possessed by the ghost of the dead woman, drags the man to the same spot in the woods, and tries to repeat the romantic encounter.(NS)
